An interdisciplinary team of professionals work closely with patients and loved ones to provide comfort and quality end-of-life care. Our focus is on enhancing the quality of life remaining by providing compassionate individualized care based on the needs of each of our patients. Samaritan Care provides services to residents residing in Orange and Osceola counties.
- OUR STORY
The roots of our compassion for families and patients are connected to our namesake, the Good Samaritan. This story tells of an injured man lying on the road who was overlooked by two people. A third stopped and offered assistance and medical attention. The Good Samaritan made a choice to help at a time when it was needed the most. We are here to help you.
- THE CARE TEAM
We have a highly dedicated team including physicians, nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains, counselors and volunteers to deliver high quality, hospice and palliative care services to patients and families. Get to know our Hospice Team.
- TESTIMONIALS
We cherish every personal story our patients and their loved ones share. We would like to share some of the stories from the individuals who have been touched by the care we provide.
Upcoming events/News
- Thank you to all who attended the recent Path to Healing grief workshop/support group Samaritan thanks all those who attended the March installment of Path to Healing, a grief workshop and support group series dedicated to providing the community with insightful guest speakers and interesting topics within a grief support group-type setting. The March 24th workshop, titled Happiness Happens, featured guest speaker Courtney Stewart, MA, LMHC, of Healing with Time. All those in attendance at the Southwest Branch Library to hear Courtney’s presentation received practical tips and valuable information related to coping skills, integrating loss into life and emotional freedom techniques. Courtney also shared her own personal story of loss and how she moved forward on the path to healing. Rev. Reynaldo Acevedo, who provides spiritual support and counseling at Samaritan, guided an open discussion following Courtney’s presentation. Rev. Acevedo created a comfortable atmosphere for participants to ask questions and share their own personal insights. A special thanks also goes out to the teams from Dr. Philips and the library for use of the community room, and to all the Samaritan team members who worked behind the scenes to make Path to Healing a success.
